Children and Youth in Care - parental and sibling loss, community loss, answering questions from children ex. how did this happen? is it going to happen to me? who is going to take care of me? helping the youth to understand death, therapeutic games and play. Providing reports to caregivers.

Intergenerational Trauma - Truth and reconciliation

Workplace stressors -understanding how to cope in systems. a safe place to discuss issues and help to develop and provide tailor made solutions for workplace resilience.

Credentials:

Attended and completed two top notch university degree programs.

Hold two permits one with the Alberta Social Work College(R.S.W) and one with the Alberta Teachers Association (Teaching permit).

Completed a Masters in Indigenous Social Work at a Indigenous Cultural College.

Professional: Worked for the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Child and Family Services, and Ministry of Health, (AHS).

About me:

I have a background in Childhood trauma and my family experienced intergenerational trauma. As a result of education and lived experience I have created new pathways of learning and have had to “retrain my brain”. Let me show you how to overcome negative thinking and rumination that may have started in the early development stages of childhood.
